I originally made this pumpkin bread recipe in 2013, and it immediately became our favorite. I love that it makes 2 loaves (one for you and one to share!).  I like to add a few oats to the top of the loaves before baking to make them look pretty.

 


Pumpkin Bread

makes 2 loaves

 

3 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup oil
1-15 ounce can pumpkin
2/3 cup water

 

In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients together (flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg). Next, add the wet ingredients (oil, pumpkin, water) and mix everything together.

 

Divide into two greased loaf pans.

 

Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.  Cool 10-15 minutes in pans then, remove from pans and cool completely.
