These sandwiches are great for parties because you can assemble them ahead of time and then just pop them in the oven about half an hour before you’re ready to serve.  For an easy dinner, serve these sandwiches with some carrot sticks and potato chips.

Hot and Melty Party Sandwiches

12 Hawaiian dinner rolls
1/2 pound deli ham
12 slices cheese (cheddar, gouda, or swiss)
1/2 cup butter
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon brown sugar

Preheat oven to 400°.

Melt butter in the microwave.  Add the mustard, Worcestershire, brown sugar, and onion powder.  Stir well to combine.

Use a 9×13 casserole dish to assemble the sandwiches.  Cut the tops off the rolls, keeping the rolls together.  This will make it quicker to assemble the sandwiches.   Layer the ham and cheese on the bottoms of the rolls.  Brush the inside of the tops of the rolls with the butter mixture.  Put the tops onto the sandwiches, and pour the remaining butter mixture over the top.

Cover pan with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the sandwiches are browned.  Cut the sandwiches apart to serve.
