Tonight we had Turkey Nachos, but instead of regular chips I made Homemade Baked Tortilla Chips.  I don’t have any nutritional information, but these chips must be better for you than store bought chips.  And they are really good!  Don’t be afraid for them to get a little brown; that’s how you know they’ll be crispy.   I’ll tell you about the nachos tomorrow.

 

Homemade Baked Tortilla Chips

 

corn tortillas

canola oil

kosher salt

 

Lightly brush each tortilla with canola oil using a pastry brush.  Cut the tortillas into triangles, sprinkle with kosher salt, and bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes, or until crispy.
