This may be the best dessert I’ve ever done for a party.  It’s really pretty, and who doesn’t like hot chocolate?  It was certainly a guest favorite, too.  All you need is my Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate for a Crowd, some toppings, and some liqueurs (for the grown ups).   I also added a plate of pretty Christmas cookies from the bakery.

How to set up a hot chocolate bar

Serve the hot chocolate with marshmallows, mini chocolate chips, Andes mint chips, whipped cream, peppermint sticks, and cinnamon.  For liqueurs, we served peppermint schnapps, Bailey’s Irish Cream, whipped cream vodka, Kahlua, and RumChata.  Let everyone serve themselves.

2- 14 ounce cans sweetened condensed milk
1 gallon whole milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
23 ounces milk chocolate chips (2 bags)

Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker. Cook on low for 2 hours or until chocolate chips are melted, whisking occasionally. Keep the hot chocolate warm in the slow cooker for serving.
