Brownies. Chocolate chips. Sweetened condensed milk.  Do I need to go any further?

Chocolate Chip Brownie Pie

1 recipe brownies or brownie mix

7 oz sweetened condensed milk (about half a can)

3/4 cup mini chocolate chips

1/2 walnuts (optional)

Bake brownies in a springform pan, or pan lined with foil and sprayed with nonstick spray.  When brownie is cooked according to recipe instructions, remove from over and immediately top with sweetened condensed milk.  Add chocolate chips and walnuts (if you want).  Allow to cool completely and remove springform or foil.  Cut into triangles and serve.

I don’t typically use a brownie mix because these brownies are incredible, and just as easy as a box.   TIP: to get the fudgiest brownies, take the brownies out of the oven midway through cooking and bang the pan on the countertop, then finish cooking the brownies.  This will release the air bubbles and make the brownies very dense.  You can do this with any brownie recipe.

The Best Brownies

4 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
3/4 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
pinch of salt

Heat oven to 350.  Line 13X9-inch baking pan with foil extending over edges to form handles. Spray with nonstick spray.

Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl for about 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

Stir sugar into chocolate mixture until well blended. Mix in eggs and vanilla until well blended. Stir in flour and salt. Spread in prepared pan.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out with fudgy crumbs. Do NOT overbake. Cool in pan. Lift out of pan onto cutting board. Cut into squares.
