Step one: Throw frozen chicken breasts and a jar of salsa into the slow cooker on low in the morning.


Step two: Come home from a busy evening, heat up some cheese dip and rice in the microwave, and while that is going, slice an avocado and some limes, chop up some cilantro and tomatoes, and grab some chips.


Step three: Dinner is on the table in less than 10 minutes.




Slow Cooker Burrito Bowl


1 bag frozen, boneless, skinless chicken breasts
16 ounce jar salsa
1/2 tbsp cumin
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper

rice for serving

optional toppings: avocado, cheese, cheese dip, sour cream, salsa, beans, cilantro, sour cream, fresh lime


Put chicken into the slow cooker. Top with salsa and spices.  Cook on low for 6-8 hours.  Lay out toppings and everyone can make their own burrito bowls.
