You can adjust the heat by adding more or less jalapeno.  Add the seeds for a very spicy salsa!

Homemade Salsa (recipe adapted from Oh Hello Heather)

 

1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes

1 large onion

1 cup cilantro

1 jalapeno, seeded

2 limes, juiced

2 teaspoons salt

 

Add tomatoes to a food processor.  Roughly chop the onion, cilantro, and jalapeno and add to the processor.  Add the lime juice and salt.  Pulse until desired consistency.  Taste and add more salt or lime juice if necessary.  Refrigerate a few hours before serving (overnight is better).
