Turkey Burgers

serves 4


1.25 pounds all white ground turkey breast
2 cloves garlic, pressed or grated on Microplane
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
1 avocado
juice of one lime juice
4 sandwich thins, toasted
lettuce and English cucumbers, for serving


Heat large skillet to medium heat. In a bowl, combine turkey, garlic, cilantro, chili powder, salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties. Drizzle skillet with olive oil and cook turkey burgers over medium heat for about 10 minutes, turning once, until cooked through.

Mash avocado with lime juice. Top burgers with mashed avocado, cucumber, and lettuce and serve on toasted sandwich thins.
